The purpose of the Washington State Archery Association is to foster, expand and perpetuate the practice of archery in cooperation with the National Associations, to encourage the use of the bow in hunting all legal game birds and animals; to cooperate with all organizations in the policy of conservation and the propagation of game and wildlife.
The National Field Archery Association is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the sport of archery, and is the largest field archery organization in the World. Founded in 1939, the NFAA now consists of 49 chartered state associations and nearly 1,000 affiliated clubs. The NFAA is a member of the International Field Archery Association and a national allied organization of USA Archery. In 2014, the NFAA celebrated its 75th Anniversary.
Swain's General Store began in 1957, when logging truck operator & PA Salmon Club manager Cliff Swain and his wife Bee decided to start a retail business. They opened the 7,000 square foot "Cliff Swain Sales"store in Port Angeles, Washington, featuring military surplus, hardware, and fishing gear, with the slogan "tents, trinkets, tools, tackle and trousers".
